A warm welcome

A Welcome Message

Thank you for your interest in Comboni Secondary School Juba. Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions a family makes, and we are proud of the warm, purposeful community we have built here.

We believe every child deserves to be known, challenged and inspired. Our dedicated teachers work hard to bring out the very best in each student — academically, socially and personally.

Our patron

St Daniel Comboni

Our school carries the name of St Daniel Comboni (1831–1881), the Italian missionary who gave his life to the peoples of Central Africa. Born in Limone sul Garda, he first reached what is now South Sudan in February 1858, at the Holy Cross mission on the White Nile, and later became Vicar Apostolic of Central Africa. He died in Khartoum on 10 October 1881.

Pope John Paul II declared him a saint in 2003, and 10 October is kept as his feast day. His courage, his faith and his love for Africa remain the example our students are invited to follow.

Our charism

Saving Africa through Africa

Comboni’s guiding conviction was that Africa would be renewed by Africans themselves — “to save Africa through Africa.” He trusted the people he served to become the leaders of their own future.

That conviction sits at the heart of our school. We educate young South Sudanese not only to pass examinations, but to take responsibility for their families, their communities and their country, in the spirit of our motto: Faith, Knowledge and Service.

Pastoral care

Every child known and supported

Wellbeing is not an afterthought here; it is how the school is run. A named form tutor from day one, a caring staff who notice when something is off, and a community where kindness is expected and modelled every day.

Our campus

Space to learn, create and grow

Bright classrooms, well-equipped science labs, a welcoming library, studios for the arts and generous grounds for sport. Our campus is designed to make every kind of learning possible.

Our purpose

Vision & mission

A school where every young person grows in faith and learning, and goes out to serve their family, their Church and South Sudan.

To give an excellent, affordable Catholic education in a disciplined and caring community, forming young people of sound knowledge, upright character and generous service.
